Swedish Media Publishers' Association
The Swedish Media Publishers' Association is the trade association for Sweden's daily newspapers and other media companies. In all it has almost 200 members, of which the daily newspapers make up around 170.
The Swedish Media Publishers' Association's office is situated in Stockholm, where some 15 employees are divided between departments for law, marketing, training, development, information and administration.

The Association's work includes participating in the media debate, as well as formulating and putting forward questions and announcements which are of importance to the industry.
The Swedish Media Publishers´ Association also offer comprehensive advice and service to its members on different matters.
Statues The Swedish Media Publishers' Association - safeguards the independence and reputation of the press and media, the public's right to information, and the constitutionally guaranteed freedom of expression and the press; - helps strengthen its members' position as advertising and information media; - promotes its members' common interests in issues surrounding the industry; and - represents its members in issues of common interest vis-à-vis the government, authorities and other organizations, as well as in international contexts.

Sweden has a large number of newspapers and magazines. There are about 170 newspapers with a total circulation of 4 million. The daily press has a stable readership with a daily reach of 87 per cent
